Use Sound Frequency to Share Files Between Two Phones - Chirp

Use Sound Frequency to Share Files Between Two Phones - Chirp

I know you won't believe this magic. I also didn't believed this till I try myself. It's actually a magic! It's fun to share files between phones now.

For this, you need two smartphones. Apple iOS or Google Android.

The software uses two matching sound frequencies to connect the phones. If the two phones have the same surrounding sounds, then you can "Chirp" between these two.

As I tried, the phones should be near around 3 meters. Because, if the phone  s are not closer, the sounds each phone gets is different than the other one.

Download for Android

Download for iOS.

Let's get serious here. The app really don't share files between phones via audio frequencies. It only uses the sound frequencies to match the two phones. Chirp uses Internet connection on your phones to share files. So, I don't think it's a better idea to share large files from Chirp if you have no data packages in active.

Here is a simple video explanation for the app.

Finally Found the original voice behind Apple's Siri!

Voice actress Susan Bennett says that she's the original voice behind Apple's Siri. (Credit: CNN video/Screenshot by CNET)
Apple iPhone's Siri is a quite popular invention in mobile world. It's the first step of voice assistance in Smartphones. But, that voice? Apple didn't reveal who is behind that sweet voice of Siri.

Susan Bennett, a voice actor from suburban Atlanta, told CNN in an interview published Friday that she's the voice behind Siri. To confirm her claim, CNN worked with an audio forensics expert who claims with 100 percent certainty that the voice of Siri is, in fact, hers.

The story behind Siri's voice starts in 2005, when Bennett was asked to recite words, phrases, and other "nonsensical" things in her home studio. She claims that she recorded her voice for four hours each day for a month. It wasn't until 2011, however, that Siri made its appearance on Apple's iPhone and a friend called her to point out that the personal assistant's voice sounded just like hers.

Siri is by no means the only place Bennett claims we can hear her voice. She says that she has made a wide array of voiceover recordings for companies, including Delta Airlines. Her voice can also be heard on GPS devices and other electronics, going way back to the early days of ATMs.

With the launch of iOS 7, Siri no longer speaks with a single voice. Now users have the option to choose a male voice instead of the female. But Bennett doesn't seem concerned with being thrust into obscurity.
